Well we are back from the Doctors and I have only one word to say --- sh#t!

It is a Basal Cell Carcinoma. Good news is it doesn't send out secondaries the bad news - usual treatment radical surgery and radiotherapy. Our Dr spoke with all of Philips Drs and the general concensus is no surgery but talk with the radiotherapist to see if that (radiotherapy) is viable.

We have an appoinment for Thursday week (22) so we will know a bit more then. All the Drs are looking for is containment and palliative treatment.

I was looking for something on Rowena Charlton's quilt and came across your blog that way. I am sorry to see the terrible problems you have. I have always found sewing to be tremendously therapeutic, and I hope you are still finding time to do some. I wonder, did you finish your Elizabethan quilt?
Whatever is the source of your strength, long may it continue.
Best wishes,
Lynne

Hi Soozii, it's Michael from cancer support online. I've been reading your blog to keep up to date with Phillip's story.

I'm really hoping there was some good news that came from yesterday's appointment.

best wishes and I hope you're staying strong,
Michael

So sorry that was the result Soozii. I hope they can get it so it doesn't annoy him too much. It's hard not to scratch and pick!

I left some purple iris for you on my blog. Hugs from us both, Ali.

Hi, have subscribed to the cancer council forums and your name appeared on the list... my partner has a glioblastoma multiforme, had it removed and is now going through radiation and chemo, together!! along with anti seizure, anti sick, poo tablets, you name it he's having it! Anyway, it was just amazing that I found someone else with a brain tumour!!
