On Monday we decided (Philip, myself and the Drs) to slowly increased sedation for Philip and decrease other drugs so he will end up being sedated all the time and free from the seizure pain. The Drs think that the end is only weeks away not months and even possibly days. We are just hoping he goes quickly and without this terrible pain.

This sounds like a rational approach. Hard as it is, I'm glad it's a decision Phillip was able to take part in and which wasn't placed solely on your shoulders.

my sympathy goes out to each one of your family, for his mother it has to be devasting, I know what my mother went thru when she had to watch her son dying believing each day he would get better. The decision you made was the best for everybody including Phillip..
